One

"Two can be as bad as one...it's the loneliest number since the number one."  (Harry Nilsson)

There is no perfect season for difficult choices but winter is a good time to reflect and plan and look forward to a new year and new beginnings.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season.

  4. You are right. Winter is a good time to turn inward and reflect. I love the new pic of you (am assuming it's you) and your feet on the lake. And the winter tree is lovely.

  7. Thank you all so much for your support and comments! About the photo...I took the photo of me on my birthday last summer floating on the lake in front of my house on one of those wonderful floaty chairs. I was writing an entry in my journal about what a perfect day it was. I've joined an on-line journalling workshop that starts this week as well as The Sketchbook Challenge (the button is on my sidebar) and I'll be sharing journal pages as we go. I'm really looking forward to both of them. Pam Carriker is teaching the first part of the free Strathmore Visual Journalling workshop and the Sketchbook Challenge is a joint project involving a number of well-known artists who will also be sharing their journals.

  9. Hi Liz-Anna! I'm so glad I found your wonderful blog (via the Strathmore introductions) - your artworks are so beautiful! You must be very happy to have that lake view - I love lakes, but I can live by a lake only in the summertime at my summer cottage. Your title photo is wonderful, and you know what: I have taken almost similar pics of my feet in the summer! If you would like to see some of my artwork, you can take a look at my blog http://saksetjaliimaa.blogspot.com
I wish you a very Happy New Year!
